Today restored my wonder and joy in the power of the internet. 🌎
You see, it was only yesterday that I decided to start blogging again—this time on Substack.
Then this morning I received my first comment ♥. I won’t lie: it felt good. And then around lunch time I noticed that I had already gained a new subscriber. Thank you! 🙏
This is all the more amazing because I haven’t even mentioned this new blog to anyone yet (besides a brief mention to my partner last night). I’ve seen the stats that 40% of new subscriptions come from the Substack network but so soon — wow! Substack really feels like blogging in the early 2000s. Positive energy. Support. Encouragement. Bubbling excitement.
Long term, I anticipate I will settle into a weekly cadence for this latest effort. For now, however, I am going to write as often as I can—potentially daily—as I use this time to listen, learn and think through my approach.
If you’ve joined already—or perhaps just joined today—please be patient with me as I get going. My writing muscles are rusty but excited to start working out again.
Until next time,

PS: I mentioned yesterday that I’ve been blogging for a while. Here is the short FAQ I published for my first blog, Byline: Bryce, in November 2000. Take a look and let me know what you’d like to see now in 2023.
