Use a check-in to calibrate and create the life you want
✏️ Leverage the simple exercise we shared last week
It’s snowing❄️ this morning. It snowed yesterday morning, too. It’s pretty. It’s also March. The bulbs have already started coming up; some are blooming.

Last week, I shared a simple exercise to help you assess how well you are showing up in the various facets of your life. If you haven’t had a chance to read the issue or complete the check-in, here it is:
This week, I would like to encourage you to reflect on what you learned — and then take the initiative.
First, reflect.
What did you already sense that this exercise validated?
What struck you? Surprised you? Embarrassed you?
Let that feeling be a motivator and inspire change.
If there’s a part of your life where you’re not showing up the way that you would like, you can change that. The first step is becoming aware. Then you can take action.
Reach out to someone.
Reconnect. Invest in the relationship.
Look for opportunities to show up. Be helpful. Surprise and delight.
Be intentional.
Prioritize.
We are all in this together. Some days we’ll be amazing. Other days we’ll come up short. We are human. I have faith that each of us is doing the best we can each day.
I would encourage you to consider using this check-in as a calibration tool on an ongoing basis at whatever frequency seems right for you.
I find it helpful to see progress (or regression) over time. It is also re-centering by forcing us to make explicit the various hats we may be wearing at any one time.
I hope you find this helpful. If you do, I’d love to hear about it. Thanks so much.
Wherever you are, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Be well,
-Bryce
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment, Derek. It is amazing yet also true. I'm glad this line resonated with you.
“We are all in this together. Some days we’ll be amazing. Other days we’ll come up short.” Amazing how such a simple notion can be so difficult to hold on to. It’s really so important to remember though. Thanks for the great read.
