I once took a journalism class. I believe it is where I first learned about the five Ws and one H (5W1H):
These simple questions can be a useful framework at times. And, as we embark on the second month of this effort, it occurred to me that they might be helpful here. So here is my plan: I am going to address one question each week for the next six weeks. My hope is that, by the end, you will have a better understanding of me and I will have clarified the purpose of this undertaking.
Sound good?
If you have any specific curiosities, please reply or comment below and I will strive to incorporate in a future post.
Finally, I leave you with a poem by Rudyard Kipling:
I keep six honest serving-men ;
(They taught me all I knew)
Their names are What and Where and When
And How and Where and Who.
I send them over land and sea,
I send them east and west;
But after they have worked for me,
I give them all a rest.
I let them rest from nine till five,
For I am busy then,
As well as breakfast, lunch, and tea,
For they are hungry men:
But different folk have different views:
I know a person small—
She keeps ten million serving-men,
Who get no rest at all!
She sends 'em abroad on her own affairs,
From the second she opens her eyes—
One million Hows, two million Wheres,
And seven million Whys!

I found the poem in my grandfathers basement when I was 15. He let me have it and he passed away that year. I think it shaped my life.
My favorite poem is Rudyard poem If. I write because of him and CS Lewis. I never saw this one before. Love it. Thanks.
